Consortium de recherche et innovation en transformation métallique (CRITM)
The non-profit organization CRITM (metal-works research and innovation consortium) is the 8th industrial research sector recognized and financed by the Québec government.
The mission of CRITM is to grow the wealth of metal-works businesses by supporting innovation. It thus contributes to the success of applied research projects involving businesses and research institutions in the following areas:
- Process development : New processes, improvement of existing processes (productivity, product quality), automation, industry 4.0, 3D printing, etc. From fusion to product shaping (molding, forming, assembly, machining, surface treatment, etc.);
- Design of advanced metal products : New alloys, better manufacturability, lightening of structures, development and improvement of products or equipment, metal powders, etc .;
- Reduction of ecological impact : reducing emissions, recovery and reducing waste, reducing the use of inputs, etc.
- Reduction of energy consumption : Development and improvement of technologies, heat recovery, alternative energy use, etc.
